About Sunnyside

Sunnyside is a neighbourhood located in South Surrey. There is no historical significance to it’s name. However, residents often joke that the sun sticks around longer in Sunnyside. This community is situated on the Semiahmoo peninsula.

It was around  the year 2008 that development took off in the area. There was a big residential and commercial development move that occurred and the growth of Sunnyside took off. There are a number of schools and other convenient establishments in the community.
